All about acids: Choose right beauty product

Choosing the right beauty products is no easy affair. With hundreds of different brands and various skin care items available it's hard to know what works and what doesn't. Recently, a number of different kinds of acids have come into the limelight — such as glycolic, lactic, citric, hyaluronic and salicylic with each one claiming to have a host of benefits. Creams, lotions, serums and cleansers containing these acids are said to prevent fine lines, pigmentation of skin, acne issues and spots. They exfoliate, moisturise and smoothen the skin. But do they live up to the hype?
